Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address and a securely hashed password when you create an account. Authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider, Supabase.
• Profile information. Your name, the interests you pick, and the goals you write during onboarding or in your account, which we use to personalize your feed.
• Content you create. When you use Paste to Summary, the YouTube links you paste and the summaries generated for you.
• Payment information. If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; we keep a customer and subscription reference and your plan status.
• Communications. Messages you send through our contact form and the email address you give us for our newsletter.
• Connected accounts. If you connect Notion, we store the workspace name and an access token so we can save plays to your workspace at your request.
• Usage and device data. Basic analytics such as pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location from IP address, browser and device type, collected through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy.

How we use your information

• To provide, maintain, and personalize the Service, including matching summaries to your goals and interests.
• To process subscriptions and payments through Stripe.
• To send you transactional email (for example, account and billing messages) and, if you opt in, our newsletter.
• To measure and improve the Service, understand how it is used, and debug problems.
• To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers who process data on our behalf, including Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Google (analytics via Google Tag Manager), and Meta (advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel and Conversions API).
• At your direction, such as Notion when you connect it and save a play.
• Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.
• Business transfers, if Podex is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, analytics, and advertising measurement. You can control these through your browser and, where available, our cookie controls. Read the details in our Cookie Policy.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data.

Your rights and choices

• Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
• Export a copy of your data.
• Opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
• Manage your interests and goals directly in your account.

Security

We protect your data with measures including encryption in transit and row-level access controls, so each account can only read its own data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

International transfers

Our providers may process and store data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
