Drill Errors In Short Bouts, Not Long Sessions
Practice to frustration, push a bit further, then stop and rest before returning.
Andrew Huberman says
Push through to the point of frustration and then continue for roughly 10 to 100 more trials. Short learning bouts of about 7 to 30 minutes are a significant stimulus for plasticity, while longer sessions make the error signal less well defined. Most people can only tolerate one or two, maybe three, of these intense bouts. Coming back a day or two later after sleep lets you remember things and have the motor pathways work better than before.
Try this
Pick one skill, practice to frustration, push through 10 to 100 more trials, then stop the bout and rest.
